Shannon River Punt
This hull was built while on a visit to Ireland in 2013 , I built the basic hull from the lines of old boats and from some written instructions relating to dimensions which we found in my grandfathers house. The boat is being finished by the owner and we will post some more pictures when he has completed the boat.
This Shannon River punt is being built to help river inspectors maintain this important waterway. The owner wanted a traditional design but there were no plans readily available. Lines were therefore taken from ruined boats and some dimensions we already had, and adapted to meet modern requirements.
This was the remains of a similar boat which we took measurements off to complement the ones we already had.
